I have a question; Hexus is SCAN?
Nope - Hexus facilitates Scan having a commercial support forum here - in return for things like free delivery for members etc
1) You don't need to, simply post the product ID and and the store and we'll find them. Scan, for instance is LNXXXXX, Ebuyer has "quickfind" codes, that sort of thing.
2) Hexus is not Scan, it's simply one of a number of websites that offer increased traffic (and support, thanks Dave) to Scan in return for free carriage for forum members - subject to a set of rules.

Oh I see, interesting. I've actually spec'd my build and wanted a critique on it thats why.
So next question; is SCAN a nice company (or do we have to be biased here)?
No, we don't have to be biased at all.
IMO, Scan are brilliant, I order little bits and pieces all the time and they're ALWAYS on time and if you ever have a problem they'll happily sort you out over the phone or the Scan forum section for less urgent matters.
And that's without mentioning the free next day delivery you get with them
I usually type "company name here" sucks in Google before making a purchase, seems a pretty good company.
There is a certain amount of bias, simply because lots of us make use of them.
However, you can make your own decision based on a number of factors:
1) Look at the support forum, requests are generally answered promptly and in general people are happy with any issues.
2) Scan has very competitive prices and even without delivery offers a good alternative to other places. They have Today Only deals which are good if you know what to look out for and when.
3) The staff members post on here frequently (they're the "@Scan" guys) and are a friendly bunch so it's not like you're dealing with a corporation.
Google reviews are generally favourable too and you can look on Hexus.trust to find other comparable companies.
Scan is a retailer, and HEXUS is basically a publisher. They are two completely separate companies, with different staff, different owners and located in different places.
HEXUS provides a support section for Scan, and they're pretty active here. I assume there's some kind of commercial basis for that, but even as a forum Admin, that's merely an assumption because I have no involvement in the business side of HEXUS.
As for the post requirements, you can ask questions and post your spec from post 1, but to post links you need 5 posts. It just helps keep some aspects of spamming out, since we normally catch and eject spammers before they get that far.
And welcome to HEXUS, by the way.
