Me and my computer

Ok I have all this power inside my computer and all I ever seem to do on it is browse websites, chat on MSN and play a bit of Vice City. What do you lot use your computer for? I need something interesting and new to use it for, like some interesting software, etc. After all, all these gigahertz are going to waste! Games don't offer that much long-term interest for me, I can only play for about 10 minutes without getting bored

I'm at the moment playing with photoshop and downloading Dreamweaver to try and make a website template thing with just to play with and learn some skills. I'm failing miserably on the photoshop front though, trying to design a banner logo thing

That really depend which rig you've in mind... The server does the least - just act as domain server and cruch S@H. However, the rest of the rigs do some hard work: 3dsm, Maya, Illustrator, Photoshop, games, office productivity suites, etc... Any spare clock cycles are devoted to S@H.

Hmm lets see now, Protein Folding, music playing, video editing (DV Videos, mostly friends at the mo), photo retouching, music mixing (Have friends in a band), E-Mailing, surfing the web, searching newsgroups (Does anybody else do that?), ripping DVDs, watching DVD/DivX movies, programming, website meddling (Only my own) and game playing.

Quite how my poor Thunderbird 900 survives all that is quite a mystery! At least its getting a complete overhaul next week...
