Thumbs down One of those days...

You ever have one of those days, where silly little things consistently go wrong?

Today, I took my younger brother in to town for a hospital appointment. The car wasn't available so we took a bus. Not a problem, 15 mins to town, although we were cutting it very close - first mistake. Anyways, the bus decides to terminate halfway there (without any indication on the front of it), had to jump off and wait for another.

Got to the appointment about 5 mins late - doctor had already decided to leave, so we were informed that another appointment was winging it's way in the post.

While we were already in town, thought might as well go do some shopping. Picked up a couple of t-shirts for my brother, a pair of trainers for myself. Metal Gear Solid 4 from HMV. Set off the door alarms at Currys, no idea why.

Got home, turns out the t-shirts for my brother were actually x-large, when they were marked small. Meh, that's cool, I can take em back during the week.

Then I opened the box with the trainers. Damn thing still had security tags on. I wanted to skip around in those tonight! Another thing to complain about.

Oh, then I open Metal Gear Solid 4, and lo and behold, there was no disc in the case. It didn't even come in to my mind to check if it was sealed in HMV. Or whether they stored them behind the counter, and cased them once you pay, or if they have the discs in the cases all the time.

So what's the chance of them giving me the disc now that I've left the shop and come home? So annoying.

Hopefully that's all the bad kismet for today.

Sounds like you had a right stinker of a day!

If the HMV is part of a retail park, or just open late, I would call them tonight, might save you hassle tomorrow.

    Have a good weekend!

    Re: One of those days...

I was ready to go back (high street store), but after checking online - they closed 6pm - so I guess it's back there in the morning.

Cheers! lets hope. I'm off out tonight, hope I don't get violated by a herd of drunks to finish off the day.
