    Unknown Sci-Fi epic space Battles…

    I saw this cool compilation of sci-fi space battles, combined with epic metal which is very nicely synced with the video.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQzpM5vhC9U#movie_player

    I was wondering what movies, series, and episodes & seasons the following time frames are from?

    @0:15-0:30
    @1:10-1:17
    @2:04-2:23
    @3:00-3:07
    @4:13-4:43

    @5:52-6:27 - This scene interests me the most...

    I loved especially the part @6:10 where the attack ships are flying sideways while blasting the larger ship’s crystal hull and then @6:17 one of them flies fast by the fire, as the rest follow after the explosion @6:19-6:27. Awesome!
    I wish I knew what film this specific part is from at least…

    Thanks in advance

    That would have been good if it hadn't had the graphical quality of a poor animated .gif!

    @0:15-0:30 - Battlestar Galactica
    @1:10-1:17 - Battlestar Galactica
    @2:04-2:23 - Battlestar Galactica (i see a pattern forming here. )
    @3:00-3:07 - Battlestar Galactica
    @4:13-4:43 - Battlestar Galactica

    And, as if you couldn't guess...

    @5:52-6:27 - Battlestar Galactica

    Cant be specific as to episodes, but most Eps of BSG contain some epicness. lol..

    Thanks a lot, but is there any chance anyone can be a bit more season / episode specific?
    With 75 BSG episodes, it will be quite tough isolating these scenes...

    Most of the BSG stuff looks to be in seasons 1 & 2

    The SG1 stuff is quite late on - seasons 8 & 10 I think

    Deep Space 9 - dunno on that one, must be later as those are the ones I haven't really seen

    Stargate Atlantis looks like stuff from seasons 2-4

    As said above, all of those are battlestar galactica... the 5:52 one is a ep called "Resurrection ship part 2" which i believe is S02E12

    Why would you not want to watch all 75 episodes of BSG...?

    The music's way better in the original BSG scenes as well.

    Re: Unknown Sci-Fi epic space Battles…

    Excellent clip, mikerr, although I always seem to find the scene where the Narn security troops are throwing themselves at the attacking troops at the end, and being cut down in droves, somewhat upsetting - as G'Kar said "To save our people, we must sacrifice our people! We must sacrifice ourselves, our pride, our vengeance - be willing to by the thousands, by the millions - for one another! The more we fight for ourselves, the more we will lose ourselves! We are linked, Ta'Lon. Our fate is like an image caught in a mirror! If we deny the other, we deny ourselves and we will cease to exist!"
    Still, any excuse http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekUmYbCNYas

    And why not give it some Thirdspace, eh? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSZD3MtWCsY

    Babylon 5 was a great series!!

    The battle between the Omega X destroyers and the White Star Fleet was fantastic:

    thank you very much, you have made me want to get a dvd boxset of Babylon 5 now, I am trying to resist, but simply can't

    Also the new battlestar looks interesting, I avoided it as I loved the old one too much to have its name tarnished by a crappy remake, but I may have been wrong to avoid it.

    B5 had some brilliant battle scenes. Well ahead of its time really. Be so cool if they were to redo all the CGI with modern day stuff.

    STILL yet to watch the new BSG series.
