    Spotify premium - worth it?

I'm getting a smart phone and I reckon I need to clear my conscience and start paying for music. Spotify premium the way to go?

depends on the phones tariff, some have "unlimited" internet, but media streaming is against the fup.

It's three with unlimited internet. I can't stream media ?
fup = some sort of agreement I assume, surely media streaming would include stuff like youtube?

EDIT: Moreover, why would spotify advertise it if it wasn't allowed?

    FUP = Fair Usage Policy

e.g "Unlimited - Far Usage Policy of 100Mb and no streaming"
...we call it unlimited, but it really isn't and we don't want you to use it much at all.

Re: Spotify premium - worth it?

Looks like spotify is ok on 3, they offer it as an add on. The FUP gives you a 1Gb / month to play with

Some 3 services offered for free are subject to our fair use policy.
To make sure no one abuses this freedom, we have set monthly limits of:
n Add International Saver –3000 minutes per month
n Unlimited landlines on Mix & Match – 2000 standard UK landline minutes per month
n Unlimited Internet add-on FU limit is 1GB
n Unlimited 3-to-3 calls FU limit is 2000 minutes
n Unlimited text – our fair use policy for our unlimited text is 3000 text messages per month. If you exceed this limit, you will be charged at the standard rate for text messages outside your allowance.
If you exceed these limits, we
may ask you to moderate your usage. You may be charged at the standard rate or alternatively be disconnected from that service for the remainder of the month in which you have reached the fair use limit. If you continue to exceed these limits, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service in accordance with the Terms for 3 Services.

Re: Spotify premium - worth it?

And in terms of spotify, The phone has wifi right, so I could cache songs when I'm at home, and play them on the move. FUP problem solved
1GB enough for light use on the go? I assume each song is roughly 5mb so that's good for 200 songs aint it if I did nothing else at all.
