Ebay, America and Buying - Any catches?

Was just comparing USA Ebay prices and factoring in the exchange rate...

Asides from possibly expensive postage are there any catches such as taxes that have to be paid if your buying something from across the pond? Quite a packet could be saved...

Just check the exchange rate when buying.

Make sure there happy at sending it over the pond.

Double check postage costs before paying

If buying Electrical stuff make sure they can work with out voltage.

    if in doubt use paypal.

goods over £18 are subject to VAT, and the courier doing the importing will charge you a fee if they're stopped by customs (e.g. £4 for royal mail, £10 for fedex, etc). you may also be subject to import duty.
