I bet you someone designs some sort of plunger so that you can use the iPhone without holding it.
The yellow on the screen might disappear after a couple of days use - apparently one of the bonding materials for the LCD takes a while to dry and they left the factory a bit... erm... quick.
Also... serves you right for buying an iPhone.
