I've known some people to do 5-levels, but it's the most that's possible (within reason) unless you're fluent in other languages and can do them without breaking sweat. In my opinion though, it's a complete waste of time, since universities are only interested in three.

Anyway, nice one - awesome results! Fingers crossed for the uni applications now I guess, I know it's meant to be tougher than ever as things stand. Whatever happens though, Oxbridge certainly isn't the be-all and end-all, and with results like that I'm sure you'll end up at a top uni.

Only people at private schools do 6 highers here, and only people who are mad do more than 3 advanced highers. I did consider it but I didn't fancy it. Someone on Hexus did 4 I seem to remember.

Well, I'm a proud state school pupil.

Don't worry about it though. I don't think any of the universities I applied to were that fussed, and although Cambridge gave a five grade offer, two of those were D's. To be perfectly honest, I now regret doing it, since I basically burned myself out for no real gain.


What subject are you considering applying for. If it's medicine, I'll PM you with some of my interview questions which you might find useful.

I'm wanting to do NatSci. Well done on completing 5 A-levels though mate! I did my Highers over 1 year yeah. On a slightly unrelated note when can I get my dad to order something by tonight so that Scan will deliver it tomorrow?

I'll send the questions along anyway, since the interviewers at my college did both medicine and natsci, and I expect some of the questions were applicable to both.

And Snooty: Chemistry and biology are compulsory for medicine, I enjoyed history too much to drop it and I'd already finished maths. God knows why I did further maths though.
