    Wink State of society today!

Oh that we take so much joy in the things that annoy us and make our lives more frustrating. They do say, "There's no news like bad news". What's the matter with us all?

Does no-one else see the irony here? We take a listing of all the things that can really dampen our day, frustrate us and possibly worsen our lives. Then we get a ton of enjoyment listing them all, laughing our faces off, and actually improving our lives by lightening our day. So in view of this, are all these really bad things?

Most challenging and probably unsuccessful thread ever? ........

    Little things that...are absolutely fantastic!

    Go on, I dare you!

here's a few things that are fantastic

putting on a jacket you've not worn for ages & finding a tenner in the pocket

waking up early on a saturday & thinking its a weekday, then realising it is actually saturday & you can have a cheeky bit more snoozing time

    bank holdiays...now they're definitely fantastic

lying on your @rse in the garden in the sun

that feeling of "ooh, here we go" after your 1st 2 pints on a night out

hearing a song you haven't heard for ages unexpectedly

there's a few, i'm sure a few more will come to me throughout the evening
if it ain't broke...fix it till it is

Ahem... Galant, please may I accept your invitation to your thread?

Yes, while I have posted on the (now monumental) 'things that piss you off' thread - There are so many more things that don't.

Allowing yourself to become close someone - The *most* rewarding experience you are likely to have. How good is it to meet someone that says 'I know', and you realise - they do!

Listening to 'music for a found harmonium' by the penguin cafe orchestra...

Being me - Sounds narcisistic (spelling), but just to be yourself and accepted for it (priceless)

Looking into the eyes of a new born child... stunningly unexplainably life changing experience... you fall in love right there and then.

Seeing a BMW broken down at the side of the road... I know its not nice to get a little happiness from other's misfortune, but I find BMW drivers in general to be the most arrogant inconsiderate drivers on the road.

Squeezing a zit and getting an unexpectedly good yield.

Finding time to enjoy the simplest of things... like a quiet cup of tea sitting on the doorstep after mowing the grass... or watching a robin ferret around on the ground a few feet from you, totally unafraid.

    Definitely on this one

    1. Other half telling me that he loves me
    2. Each new milestone our 3 kids have
    3. Someone saying "you look really nice today" (I got a lack of confidence thing going )
    4. Hearing the happiness in my sister's voice when I speak to her on phone (she's had a rough couple of years, but things are now a lot better)
    5. Hearing that a friend/family member has had good news of any sort

Spending time with kids who end up thinking you're cool. Only last night I was at a practise and we were all standing around in a circle, and this little girl is next to me, her mum to her right, and the girl takes my my hand. Normally kids don't just latch onto me, but this one happily held my hand. Then she started played with my ring, I could see her smiling and swinging on my arm, and then I was trying to be subtle, not looking but she was trying to get the best grip on my much larger hand. Tried different grips and angles, and even holding just one or two fingers. It was just one of those satisfying, 'big people' moments.

Also, went to by the region 1 DVD for Karate Kid (what a classic!) online, to find it's out of print and can only find it for $42 on Amazon. Ordered it. Then a friend found it at moviesunlimited for $29. Well, a bit annoying until the Amazon seller agreed to refund!

The feeling when the girl you like/love spontaneously reaches out and wraps her arms around you, just to be close.

Sorry mate i'd personally have to put that in the "little issues that annoy the hell out of you section". I've played it way too many times to enjoy it any more . Thats what happens to a nice tune.

Saying that one of the nicest things is hearing a brilliant tune and then learning it .

Also something i like is seeing something that youve been messing with in Photoshop turn out really nice when your finished.

When your computer runs perfectly (quite unusual with me )
