What's with this Skimlinks?

some posts, only a few are having hyperlinks put in by Skimlinks, its unlikely a security issue with my clients workstation/proxy, but I can't believe its hexus doing it?

So if you type USB stick - it creates a link - presumably stick of a USB nature will not! It doesn't seem to be on all the forums.
