Does anyone have an idea why typing within the hexus site on my desire hd would be ridiculously slow? I've not found a single other site so far that does this, but on hexus it takes about 10 second for every character to appear!
I'm using wifi so it can't be the connection (24meg BE)..is this common on other phones?
I should add that navigation around the site is normal, no problems there, its just the typing.
I am typing this on my original desire and it seems fine to me. Do you have flash on by default or on demand?
I get a similar problem on my iPhone 4. Nowhere near as bad, but there is definite keyboard input lag.
Are there any plans for a mobile edition of the Hexus forums or site?
Plans of course, but there's no timeline that I can make public.
I get this too (Desire, 2.2, flash on demand) Sometimes I click in the box & it scrolls to the bottom of the screen, I then have to scroll up & click in the box again to begin typing :/
I've found on my desire every now and again it slows down whilst browsing the internet, Hexus is one of the sites affected but so are several others. My main guess is that poorly programed Flash adverts as so far every page affected uses flash adverts but it's definately not all the time.

I suspect the quick reply box might have some javascript issues on mobiles. Maybe something related to elements rendering after clicking in the box.
The flash thing is a key contributor too. We always request re-worked ads if they're CPU hogs, but we base that on PC experience, particularly given Flash on mobile devices is so bad that anyone who leaves flash set to always on is a loon
Well it's not a flash issue on my iPhone with flash not being available. The keyboard lag isn't bad but I notice it if I'm typing fast.
As I said it'll be javascript related thenProbably some inefficient DOM traversal or something stupid.
Must be, because I just turned flash to on demand and its made no difference. Steve, how would that explain the fact that your desire works fine though?
