Tallinn, Estonia - Who's Been

Long story short.

I ordered a travel guide for estonia but it never arrived, I will check trip advisor when I'm out there but was wondering whether any of you guys and girls had been to Estonia before and whether there are some interesting places you recommend on visiting.

I'm off later today, but will check when my phone is next near a wifi spot Today has been mental.

I think I may try to head to Helsinki, as well as Narva (on border with Russia) and Tartu

Restaurants, pubs, clubs, sights, anything would be amazing

I've beeb to both tallinn and tartu, back in 2003. From what i remember of tallinn, the old town is nice but can't think of anything else. Tartu doesn't have too much I can think of but one of my best friends is a native of tallinn and now goes to uni in tartu so ill ask her!

Here are her ideas (she suggested you put your trip back unless you like mountains of snow and -20 degree temperatures, but I guess it's too late for that now!):

Tallinn:
restaurants: zebra, la vie, lounge 24, café muahh, olde hansa, peppersack, elevant, sushi cat
pubs: st. patrick's, a bar with no name, shooters, beer house, hell hunt
clubs: von krahl (kinda alternative), hollywood, privé, vabank, venus
sights: ugh.. the hardest part.. the old town ofc (the christmas market is nice), rotermann quarter, kumu art museum, ice skating on harju skate rink.. I don't know about the sights tho..


Tartu:
restaurants: volga, tsink plekk pang, tokyo (sushi bar), suudlevad tudengid
pubs: zavood, möku, trepp, krooks, pool 6
clubs: illusion (the best imo), genialistide klubi (alternative), maasikas, atlantis (kinda lame..)
sights: town hall square, angel & devil bridges, ancient ruins of some castle, take a walk on the dome hill

Thank you and your friend so much for the info. On the plane across I met some estonian students who gave me some good info.

Went to helsinki yesterday, will be in tartu a little later and hope to explore tallinn at the weekend. I'm staying in the old town so your friends recommendations are perfect.
