Sorry if I missed a thread on the death earlier this month of Gary Mason, former British Heavyweight Boxing champion.Two aspects mark his passing:

Firstly, from what I know of him from his TV appearances, Gary was a man whose personality and dignity were as big as he was physically. He was an athlete with a big heart and a big smile.

Secondly, he died in a cycling accident. I mean, what hope is there for the rest of us if someone as imposing as Gary wasn't commanding attention on the roads?

Rest in Peace Gary.

i know it a bit of a cliche but he was a gentle giant.
i remember him fighting against lennox lewis, he was cruely exposed.
iirc he was on his way to work as a security guard at a hospital,

True. But, to be fair, Lennox Lewis cruelly exposed most of his opponents including Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield, which puts Gary in the "had-considerably-more-guts-than-I-have" category.
