Chris Moyles - funny or annoying?

Radio 1's breakfast show DJ - do you think he is funny?

I'm going against my typical rationale of not posting my opinion until later and say that I think he is bloody annoying, and very rarely actually genuinely amusing.

Sara Cox was better than this muppet, and Mark & Lard were the kings of Radio 1 whenever they were on.
Chris Evans was okay when he started, but then got irritating as his ego inflated.

When he stands in, Scott Mills is possible equal in annoyance factor to Mr Moyles (didn't prank phone calls die a death a decade or two ago?).

The really sad thing is, I can't stand commercial radio, and the other BBC stations don't tend to wake me up

    Aaaand... rest...

He's not annoying like some of the DJs (Colin and Edith... Urghh) But I don't find him hilariously funny either.

Used to listen to him ages ago, when he was on in the early hours. Only Radio 1 show I've ever listened to regular, was quality.

I actually listen to more shows regular on Radio 4; The News Quiz, I'm Sorry I haven't a Clue, PM (The News basically, when I'm eating Tea), Just a Minute, than I do Radio 1 (None for years)

Only heard him a few times and thought he was a prat on each occasion. Only radio I listen to is in the car and that's the traffic alerts so I know where the morning/evening rush hour crashes are on the M25 and adjust my route according if possible. Other than that it's all CD music.

I used to think he was funny. Till I realised that was only when compared to Sarah Cox

Mostly listen to Radio 2 now, with some occasional 4 and Classic FM to sooth the rushour. Find Radio 1 full of squeeky annoying amoeba-heads now. Must be a thirtysomething thing

Nah mate, I'm 23, and I listen to more Radio 4 than Radio 1. I think its a 'not wanting to listen to nobs being unfunny and cack chart music' thing, than an age thing.

Radio 4 has quality comedy shows, and the news. That'll do for a radio station.

Who wants to listen to Sara Cox being unfunny when you can listen to Little Britain, or find out what's going on in the world?

I enjoy Moyles because he just rips anyone and anything apart about the way they are behaving/act...top stuff Not quite comic genius but i find myself laughing at most things he says. Comedy Dave his 'sidekick' is just as cool.

As for the Mark and Lard = No thanks

As for Sara Cox = Occasionally funny but the voice is doing me head in

As for Scott Mills = Take him or leave him personally

...Thats just what i reckon anyway!

Definately a top bloke, the BBC London phone in 9.00 - 12.00 is hugely entertaining

I have to say i don't tend to listen to the radio, but radio is my alarm clock and it goes onto Radio 1 because Moyles is so loud and obnoxious that he wakes me up quite nicely.

I also like his attitude to go against the norm, the fault board on the outside of the studio rant this morning was amusing.

Given the choice i'd rather listen to my own music, but for an alarm clock he does much better than coxy or mills.
