I'm confused - how come you had to buy one from Sony to authenticate whether it was genuine? didn't you already have a genuine one with the camera? or did you lose it?

the camera comes with the BG1, its not an infolithium and only shows 4 battery bars, on the box it says you can buy the infolithium FG1, i use infolithiums for the Sony A55 i own and like the features.

for all intents there the same capacity, just accurate time left on the infolithium version.

If it was an an Amazon reseller (or affiliate or whatever it isbranded as) it might be worth letting Amazon themselves know, particularly if you don't get redress from the seller themselves.

I'm sure Amazon would be interested to know that one of their affiliates is possibly selling counterfeit goods. Thanks for the heads up.
