Im not really a fan of either but I would say Pepsi. For taste wise

ALSO...THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS:

    ========================================================

Thank you. Sorry about the shouting and bold, but I think this is a very important issue.

Basically Coca-cola are a faceless multinational company.

Ground water under the land of the company does not belong to <coca cola>...510 kilo litres of water is extracted per day, converted to products and transported, thus breaking the natural water cycle
The Court also held that the extraction of groundwater, even up to the admitted limit by the company, was 'illegal'. "The company had no legal right to extract this much natural wealth and the panchayat and the government were bound to prevent it."
The dumping of toxic sludge (containing both cadmium and lead) on local riverbeds, as well as the depleting ground water reserves, has motivated large numbers of people to campaign for the closure of the bottling plant. ActionAid has joined local residents in demanding that Coca-Cola be made to accept its social responsibilities and consider the rights of the local communities, not just their profit margins.
    Also:

Also the tap water fiacso (ok not as bad as the above story, but still).

You want me to continue? Thought not
Anyway to sum up: Never buy anything from coca cola.

EDIT: (sorry I know, but once I have something in my mind...and google has so much to offer...)

ooo...This is big, but worth it...
(mods feel free to remove...I know this is kind of turning into a rant against coca cola, but I think people deserve to know)

ok i promise to stop now

This is really an eye opener.... Water or Coke?
Sorry mate, but not true, SNOPES to the rescue.

As for the water part - I'm not sure, but I have heard that most people don't drink anywhere near enough water as is good for them.

ordering drinks at a restraunt? now theres a bit of inflation for you. coke, a glass no way near a can size, costs £1, £1.50 or even more than £2!! what is all that about? doesn't that just get to everyone a bit? takes the p*ss! and then get a bottle of wine for £15 when its nearer £5 in sainsurys... my gripe isn't really at what they serve its the huge utterly insensical mark-up they put on drinks...

Thats how restaurants tend to make their money though, the money they make on food is minimal so they make they extra on the drinks.

I used to prefer Pepsi, but I don't have such a sweet tooth any more and probably prefer Coke overall- a shame because the Coca-Cola corporation is evil. Not much to choose between them though TBH. Tesco is uber-sticky sweet I find.

    in response to twigman's post:
if some awareness was brought to the world at large about these problems maybe something might be done about it. public peaceful demonstrations where you know coke will be represented - such as upcoming olympics or the euro 2004 football - than people will start asking questions...ball rolling...eventual result.
but little attacks really wont amount to much imho. do you really think people will take much notice of them? no. whats needed is a display in front of potentially the whole world or at least a large enough audience for everyone to sit up and listen.

Dont' drink either - but when I did - it seemed to me that coke out of a glass bottle tasted far better than out of a can.

So here's a vote for glass!

Anyway, we got there; queued for ages to get in. When we did get in (£10 each - this was at about 2 in the morning) the music was dire and all they sold behind the bar was Gatorade (which I thought tasted rank - but that may have been more to do with the JD's we were slipping down before ).

    How miffed were we???

I know...thats eactly the problem. Wow...my post above may be read by, lets say a max of 1000 people. Thats goign to make no differencce at all is it? At least a few more people know now, and if they want to can research it futher etc.
Thats the problem, Coca cola is the second biggest name in the world (after marlboro), so a few people will have no effect at all, so they can get away with what they like.

Light travels faster than sound. Is this why some people appear bright until you hear them speak?
