A friend had similar problems, from a rather fuzzy memory his bank wanter £18. Because it was an individual he was paying he opted for euro travelers cheques (limited denominations available), these can be made payable to a particular person and I think are comission free.
after thinkin about it i dont mind payin extra but i need to know where i could go to actually send the money to a bank account and not the person?
any1 help?
You need the receivers bank account details, then just go to your bank, they should be able to transfer the money across. In the UK it can take upto 7 days to be fully credited.
If you go to your bank you can send an international bank transfer straight into his bank account. £18 sounds about right, then theres the cost of changing the currency over too. I think you just need his IBAN and swift/bic code to do it. Was a fair while ago the last time i did it. I'll see bout looking up my receipt in the morning if yo aint got a deffinate answer by then.
thx flibb n stubzz - i got the iban and bic numbers etc.
just hope the happy people at lloyds tsb are as helpful as u 2
thx again peeps
