3D Monitor for PC and PS3

Im looking for a 3D Monitor for PC and PS3 and some movies. Ive heard the LG's are good as they only need passive glasses like at the cinema. Im thinking 23-27" so it sits nicely on my desk and can bring the fight sticks out for any Capcom, SNK, Namco or Blazblue combat action.

    Any suggestions?

Re: 3D Monitor for PC and PS3

I would suggest looking at the 3D TV's with multiple HDMI inputs rather than a monitor. At least that way you have a multi purpose screen.

The passive 3D isnt as good as the active shutter glasses. When I bought my 3DTV last year done a fair bit of research and settled on a Samsung 51" Plasma with Active Shutter. You will find that most of the 3D monitors now as well as TV's are actually active shutter.

You will also need the Nvidia 3D Vision kit to run on a 3D monitor (If you are running Nvidia of course) or you will need the Nvidia 3D software to run into a TV. You can buy the software from Nvidia for about £15 I think it is.

The 3D Monitors are costing around £300 and up, take a look at Scan selection, you will find that the 3D TV's cost a little more but you will have better functionality with them. Your PS3 should pick up that it is connected to a 3DTV when first turned on.

Thanks again... Ive seen a 24" monitor for £155 and 3D Tv's are about double that and you just get a freeview tuner which would be redundant.

Ill have a look into that Nvidia software thanks.

Waiting for no glasses tech before buying a fullsize one like you.

Re: 3D Monitor for PC and PS3

There's some neato glasses-only stuff happening, I think starting with LG. PS3 multiplayer on the same console, where both players get the whole screen - it uses 3D glasses so you only see "your" screen, and the other player's screen is blanked out
