Hello Urs,
I was just wondering as to how inconsistent a referee can be and get away with it. It would seem that England were playing against 12 men for the whole match only one of them was wearing black! You blew your whistle whenever a Portuguese player fell from a tackle, yet let them quite clearly push our players over without a worry. At one point, you were even awarding fouls against the English after they had been chopped down by the Portuguese.
As to the dis-allowed goal, how can you have seen a shove from the position you had on the field? In fact, if there was a shove, it was the keeper running into a player who was already jumping for the ball!
In short, Urs, you made some truly terrible decisions and were clearly biased towards the Portuguese. The numbers of fouls awarded against England, compared with those awarded against Portugal do not speak of an aggressive English side but of a referee who favours one side over another.
I would be very insterested to hear your defence of the attrocious way you ran the match.
Yours, (without much expectation of ever recieving a reply)
Nick
