um, gf's birthday weekend...um, that was back in may - what were you wondering about? I had a bbq only last weekend with over 30 people, if thats anything like you were wondering, needless to say most of the water in the swimming pool didn't stay there! also the girls I'd been coaching won [copious amounts of drinking then occured!]...

oh yeah, that. well, the place in france is my parents and its a time share thingy so only really available for free a bout 8weeks of the year, which isn't bad seeing as the parent company out there keeps it clean, replace bust things and look after it etc. so we have it booked for a couple of weeks in july.
checked flights etc, both of us can go so no probs there - only the flippin' rentals start making a fuss - even though it was their idea in the first place i.e. "are you two coming out to france? would you like to?..." planning to and yes were my answers. so I get booking flights nice and early - total cost [back in may when I started looking] wasn't even £100...for both!
rentals made a fuss about it all and so I didn;t book tickets in the end. they are pretty stupid people, they can't seem to handle anything spontaneous, I was all up for clicking on the 'pay for tickets' button before they start shouting at me - then there's no hope of reasoning with them. nightmare.
so from one minute saying it'd be nice for us to go out, the next its; you can't come out then...!
then only the other day they ask 'so, are you coming out then or what?'...so i'm currently pretty f*ed off with them seeing as the flights now cost something stupid each way. so unless they stump up for them they managed to totally thwart my holiday plans.
parents, can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.
