Re: Holidays Being Cut in work.

We work 4 on 4 off so it works out about 3.5 days in a normal 7 day week.

Hourly it works out at about 36 hours a week.

I havent got my contract here but From what I remember it says we start with 24 days holiday and acrue one extra for each year we work here up to 30 days.

The change they are saying is that we go down to 20 days per year basic and 1 day more per year up until the top end of 26.

The rest of the company are on 22 start and 28 top end I think I`ll need to check

statutory minimum holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks, so someone working a 5 day week would have to have at least 28 days holiday a year (these days include bank/public/xmas/easter/etc)

as you work a 4 day week your minimum should be 22.4 days

i suggest you dig out your contract or ask HR for a copy of it, and then phone ACAS to find out if they are actually changing terms to your detriment, and then find out what you can do about it, or if it's a case of interpretation that's being clarified
