I dont know about you guys'n'gals, but tho only ting that ruins summer for me ( apart from football and big brother) is those damn flippy-flappy buzzy biting monsters that doodlebug through ur windows as soon as the sun gets near the horizon.....grr . for some reason i absiloutley ph34r them... esp daddy longlegs! help! run!
With two comps and 3 monitors in my room, (not to mention my feet and bottom) it gets pretty hot and stuffy in this room in summer and i simply must have my window open.....
anyway i may have found a solution! As part of striving for that 'amsterdam' feel, i put 2 fireglow red bulbs in lamps and have been working tonight by authentic firelight (tm). The rooms fairly well lit up, all in red.
curtains open, windows right open off their latches - and not a single flapping menace has rammed itself into my monitor all night!
Could it be the case that bugs just don't get attracted to red light??
if anyone else has seedy lighting, try it and post ur results!
