    In A Beijing Hotel.......and bored.

My first time in China, and I am at a loose end.

Arrived yesterday afternoon, so did the three S's as soon as I got through the door (Langham Place, at Beijing Airport.....quite nice actually), and tipped off out.

Went to the usual stuff...Forbidden City, Tiannamen Square, had a mooch about and went for something to eat.
I even took a taxi to Houhai Bar Street, and its NOT for the faint hearted! Lots of attractive females that love you long time for a fiver. I didn't know it would be like that down there, but it was at every step you took.
However, I don't fly on to Dandong until later this afternoon, (just after 8am here), and there is nothing left to do! I got up at 2am because of the time difference, and I just need to kill a morning.

    Any ideas?
Anyone want a cheap gizmo bringing back (not a Gremlin btw).

Hope you're taking loads of photos! Went to Hong Kong myself in October loved it. If you got a penchant for food go explore some new cuisines you might not have tried already. How long are you there for??

Beijing is a very differen't city to Hong Kong and well most of the rest of China.

There are a few ideas on TripAdvisor that sound fairly entertaining:

Im in a place called Dangdong at the minute, and from my hotel window, i can see the Yaun River that is maybe 100ft across, and then its North Korea. Not even a street lamp is on.

    It definitely is,
When i flew into Dandong a couple of days ago, i was surprised to see it was a military airport. I have seen these in Russia (Saratov) so i should have been.
