    C of E Priests

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-sussex-17270136

Sometimes I worry that I have anti-catholic prejudices. But then things like this reassure me that I despise ALL kiddy fiddlers (not just the catholic ones).

At least these two can't run to the vatican for protection from our police.

Sadly billy these people are amongst us in every walk of life, not just Catholic priests, but teachers, judges you name it they infiltrate but as you say its 2 off of the list of those to worry about as long as they don't join the list of 850 that seem to have evaded the radar for a year or so in Britain alone

It would be interesting to see the statistics on them thou, compared to say teachers or social workers.

It could be argued that as the Church claims to be a source of morals, we should compare the occurrence against the general population of the UK.

This reminds me of a Tim Minchin sketch, were he says "... did you see what I did there ? I implied that having an Ice Cream Van makes you a paedophiles ! That's terrible ! ...... It's probably the other way round !"

I guess the main difference with teachers, judges and Ice Cream van men is that neither their employer or the police would help them to hide their crimes.

There is always going to be a disproportionate amount of kiddy fiddlers in jobs that have access to kids. You cant fiddle what you cant get to.

Same as there are more footballers in countries that play football.

    Re: C of E Priests

could I ask that the term used is sex offender or child abuser not kiddy fiddler as it does tend to make light of a serious offence. it would be appreciated
