    Songs of your youth!

Ok, so I'm slightly drunk tonight and listening to a load of songs on my iTunes account that makes me miss my heady days of The Gloucester in Brighton....

Anyhow, I wonder what the songs of people's youth are?

    My top four

Scar Tissue - Red Hot Chilli Peppers
    Unforgiven II - Metalica
Prayer of the Refugee - Rise Against
    Song 2 - Blur

    Re: Songs of your youth!

Ones that spring to mind are...

    Poison - Unskinny Bop
The Waterboys - The whole of the moon
    Oceanic - Insanity
Cypress Hill - all of Black Sunday
    most Aerosmith tracks

For my youth there's a load of music I associate with the videos - the golden age of MTV eh ?
Jane's Addiction - Been caught stealing
    Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun
    Extreme - More than words
again so many Aerosmith videos... and as good as Crazy, Cryin, and Pink are, it has to be....
    Dude (Looks like a lady)

Depends what you count as youth! This song always reminds me of summer:

You Get What You Give - New Radicals

And generally anything by the Stereophonics and Oasis too reminds me of childhood. (Not to mention the Backstreet Boys, Five, Craig David, Vengaboys...)

    And this monstrosity http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p47fEXGabaY&ob=av3e

    Re: Songs of your youth!

I got locked out the house the other afternoon so lay on the grass listening to a great selection of songs from late 90's early 00's.

    Dario G - Sunchyme
Phats and Small - got to turn around
The new radicals - you got the music in you
    FF - learn to fly
Ans a few more that I cannot recall at such an hour.

    Few of My favs

In the Summertime, Mungo Jerry, heard it so often in the summer even my dad[an opera fan] used to sing along when we were in the car.

    Iron Man, Black Sabbath

Hot Love, might be top of the pops stuff but I liked it[electric warrior is on my MP3 player]

Back Street Luv, "it's all about a brass init" Sonja Kristina's dad was our deputy head at one one time.

    Space Trucking, Deep Purple.

Venus In Furs, was friendly with some gimpies[they take drugs you know;-)] I acquired a velvet underground album they didn't seem to listen to anything else.

21st Century Schizoid Man, one of the first albums I bought, which is still one of my favorite albums, was In the Court of the Crimson King..

Voodoo Chile, I didn't buy, or listen to any Hendrix till 1973. So I missed a few years that I could have been listening to the best track bar none..

Astronomy Domine/intersteller overdrive this weird kid at school introduced us to little tiny pills and made us listen to Pink Floyd.

I Saw Her Standing There, by the pinks[pink fairies].

    Sonic Attack, Hawkwind

    Archangel Thunderbird, Amon Duul

I used to go to the Gloucester in Brighton what seems like yonks ago! I remember drifting off in a drunken haze with a lit cigarette (You could smoke indoors back then!) which proceeded to burn a hole in my coat....

That place used to come alive when Blur-song 2 and House of Pain - Jump around came on!

Not even sure if its open anymore
