Ah, thank you, not something I have ever watched. (I did see about 30 seconds of something called "The voice" a few weeks ago - Tom Jones and 3 unknowns playing in swivle chairs to a screaming audience)
I suppose no different in principle from "Opportunity Knocks" - for those that remember it

As I understand it, BGT is a Simon Cowell production. Now I daresay he makes some decent coin from it anyway but clearly, since his main business is running a record company, the main purpose of the show is that he can find new musical acts to sign and make money from.
And yet the 'British voting public' consistently vote for dance acts, or in this case, a performing dog.
I'd say that either you're a Cowell fan, or you're doing the 'British voting public' a grave disservice .
