Good place to sell my unused Graphics Card

    Hi guys,

Do we have a section here on Hexus (or any other forums/sites) where I can sell my no longer needed Graphics Card (a new EVGA GTX 680 SC)?

I know there is always eBay. But I feel better dealing with friends in an enthusiast/pro community.

    Thanks

You need 100posts minimum for access to the classifieds section I believe.

I like to sell computer related stuff on Gumtree, that way I can show the thing working on collection and don't have to worry about it going missing in the post/arriving not working.

Then you'd better make some friends here Hang around and contribute and you'll get access to the classifieds section here - though be warned that joining just in order to sell something is frowned upon - the sales stuff is meant to be a bonus for existing members.

What my good friend Kal said

and just so everyone is clear, spamming for post count rewards is highly frowned upon and posts will be deleted if the Mod Squad deem it so.

Apart from that, welcome to HEXUS.
    Cheers, David

and double posting like that is exactly the kind of post count padding he was talking about in the very post you quoted.

ltnmzh, Will you please stop bumping several week old threads with posts that add no new information? It's a fast way to get your post-count reduced back to zero.

    Cheers

Have a look at the Rules section

Ebay is ok for selling and good for reaching a large number of people. However they take 10% of your price and a futher 5% from Paypal as they own it as well. Don't forget P+P.

Gumtree is a poor man's Ebay, no way to verify products are working without actually going and checking it out, nor decent verification of members, so lots of scammers. At least with Ebay you have paypal protection so problems can be resolved. If you buy stuff on Gumtree before seeing, you probably won't see them again, especially if you paid by bank transfer or paid cash and met them somewhere neutral. You also have alot of stolen gear on Gumtree being sold, so you have been warned.

Apart from that, not many other good places to sell. I would probably rule out Hexus forum as you need 100 posts and you need to be active and contributing to the forum rather than spamming.

But cheerup you half towards free SCAN shipping

Agent is on the ball with this one - it isn't something that endears you to us. By all means contribute, but adding simple one liners to old threads which adds nothing is not something we encourage (and as Agent mentions, is likely to result in us deleting the posts/resetting your post count).

The 100 post requirement is there to avoid people simply signing up and using the FS forum, and is designed such that it isn't achievable in a day. If you want to use the FS forum you need to be an active member of the community, which amongst other things requires engagement with it

Sorry. I didn't mean to. I didn't even notice/remember me replying old threads. It's on the first page.

Re double posting, it was genuine mistake. I replied but my post still shows in the quick reply box and I thought I didn't click send....

Probably I shouldn't even post this one. But you can see my posts are genuinely informative for the OP.

Well that's a blatant lie since both replies were different which means one was typed and sent and then another was typed and sent right afterwards.

You got caught trying to cheat the system just admit it and play nice don't compound it by lying about it as all that does is damage an already tenuous reputation further.
