Come on Rich, I mean THE NATIONAL LOTTERY!
Who can resist watching Eamon Holmes, Dale Winton or Whoever it is now wasting 30 minutes of their lives in an utterly pointless gameshow?

So when the fat cats at the top of the BBC get their annual 25% pay rise there is something we can do about it to stop OUR fees being wasted in such a fashion?Originally Posted by nichomach

Question Time certainly IS - not my fault you don't like current affairs. Panorama ditto. The news, ditto. I don't personally watch a lot of the dramas they list, but then that's hardly the be all and end all of their drama output anyway. By the way, that's NOT a list of their most popular shows, that's just a list of subsites to their main site lifted off the BBC1 front page.
Sorry Nichoman but I have to point out I don't want to freeload,
I don't want there **** service on my TV. One good Program in 50 is NOT GOOD VALUE.
You don't get this do you? I PAY FOR THIS ****. I HAVE THE RIGHT TO WATCH IT.But you DO watch it.
However, I DON'T WANT TO. AND if not paying means no BBC1,2,3 Radio1,2,3,4 etc then I'd be MORE than happy to do that.
It's not good. It's not good value. Stop trying to enforce your view onto me. You CANNOT and WILL NOT convince me otherwise.
I am not a freeloader. I don't want it free. I just don't want it. I don't expect to pay for it. However as I do, I will occasionally and will continue to occasionally tune it to it. I bloody pay for it.
Why would the BBC have subsites of their least popular shows?
Errrr...where did you get THAT figure from? BBC staff's last pay demand was for 5% and their last increase was 3.6%. In previous years, managers have received awards of up to 9%.Originally Posted by Big RICHARD
Right...so...you went to one channel, paid attention to the subsites off that, ignored the main BBC homepage with links to tons of other shows and claim that supports your case?Originally Posted by Big RICHARD
I think its about time the license fee was scrapped, I mean paying to receive TV signals is pathetic. For its digital services start charging a subscription and move the normal channels over to advertising.
Dont bother Fordprefect, You're opinion is instantly invalid, Nichomac enjoys being ripped off!
I can't see how ANYONE can argue with my view. CHOICE. I don't want it, I shouldn't pay for it. You want it, You bloody fund it. I shouldn't be made to contribute to the crap which is force fed down my throat. ESPECIALLY RADIO ONE.
So, why would the BBC have links in the front page of BBC1 to the worst shows on BBC1? Surely they would be trying to justify the licence fee by having the best of their programming on view?Originally Posted by nichomach
That was a figure off the top of my head. I seem to remember the BBC bosses pay increases being in the papers for being ridiculous...Originally Posted by nichomach

No because if you have no TV and pay no license you can still receive any BBC Radio channel for free...Originally Posted by Big RICHARD
But for millions of viewers that IS good programming - not my choice or yours, but it is certainly popular. The difference is that were it a commercial channel, that would be all of their programming. Which it isn't by a long chalk. Of course if you bothered to look at the main site, you'd find links to their original dramas, to music, current affairs...but then that would conflict with your argument, wouldn't it?Originally Posted by Big RICHARD

Then why do people keep saying our license fee is for the stations?
It obviously isn't, meaning we pay:
£112 for:
BBC 1
BBC 2
and BBC 3
Which is funny as you can get Cable, Broadband and a phone for
£38 a month:
If you times by 12 for a year then divide by the 3 services, you pay £150 each.
Cable for £150 or BBC123 for £112?
You do the maths.
Radio is still paid for out of the license fee, but is made available free to all as a part of the public service obligation.Originally Posted by Zedmeister
