    Wink Sneakiest malware ever?

Look at this dialler that popped up (when I followed a link that appeared to go to part of CD Freaks ):

I mean, I can see how even the most clued up user is going to fall for the tempting proposition of paying £1.50 a minute for, apparently, no reason.

It was still annoying though, because it was one of the ones that won't go away and keeps bringing up a box saying 'you must click yes for access' forcing you to shut down IE and start again. What's the answer- switch to Firefox?

opera, firefox, all good. I use both... anything not made by ms, not ie and not based on IE is going to be a lot mroe secure than IE. I mean, I could code a basic browser in delphi (only language I have any basic knowledge of using) and it would be more secure just becuase of the fact knowone knows about it....

I really hate IE, turns out my aunt has b0rked there pc, proabbly in outlook or ie, ass the cause, and it has affected me (email spam..). and im going to have to fix it I think.. could life get worse?

    FireFox is great.

yeah.. I downloaded some guys java implemented browser. It has about 3 files.. and a total of 400 lines of code. and it browses the web just great. some sites don't work right because of the html render he chose. but u can get another one and use that !

I made my own browser as well. make a JEditorPane. set it to non editable. and point it in the direction of a url by the command line when you run it. It renders google just fine. But I hadn't taken the trouble to write event handlers for form elements or links so you can't actually submit forms or follow links. It was a bit of fun...
