Who is at Fault ? And what to do

i bought a case from ebuyer and it inc a 400 watt psu
the psu has just gone Bang "and i mean a very loud bang"
and ive just put another PSU on my mobo and no lights are coming on.
so im guessing its done some damage..

is ebuyer responsible for replacing my motherbaord and what ever eles has
    gone wrong..
i have no way of testing the other stuff at the moe but is there anything eles it may have killed ?

It could in thery kill it all! But it depends on what went pop! They might hold the case manufacture responsible.. Does the psu come standard with the case? or did ebuyer decide to include it?

You didnt listen to the forumittes screaming at you to get a decent psu? I did, eventually . As for the damage, send the mobo back , they will likely write it off and replace it, as opposed to spend ages forcing you to admit it didnt come like that.

    Ha ha ha ha.. ect.

Looks like you deserved this!! I'd be afraid to even plug it in!!!
I'd try and get ebuyer to replace the damaged parts!! If not Xbomber.. or what ever they call them selfs will have to cover it!! What is the power suply manufacture?

Pretty foolish and insensitive to say that someone deserved for their PSU to blow up and take their mobo with it, just because they bought a cheap case. I'm sure many people have these and have no problems.

Well you could always ask to speak to the manager at ebuyer, and ask them to replace it, say they will lose more profit if they dont and your forced to stop buying there, than if they were to replace it... probably not work though...

How loud was the bang? claim it has damaged your hearing? selling unsafe products... hmm...

Tbh though you deserve it for buyng a case that looks so crap there are plenty of better ones on there imo for same price...

If I were to buy a lighter.. and that lighter exploded in my hand.. That lighter company would be liable for the damage there exploading lighter caused!

Might be worth playing the 'on good faith' card... While they might not be obliged to replace Mobo, your consequencial loss was down to their product. I feel an 'I would love to continue using your loverly service, but...' email coming on. Usually a polite email can work wonders.

Bad luck mate... you're not having much good at the moment, are you?

Ebuyer, Royal Mail... all up to their normal standard.

The lesson being - never, ever, ever, even for a second rig for the kids, risk a dodgy unbranded PSU. Just not worth the risk, or damage it may cause to other components.

Hope you get it all sorted mate.
