And the fact that 10p of that £2 goes to the charity and the rest is swallowed up by admin fee's - not cool at all, and thats why I refuse to make monthly donations.

Yes I have the same thoughts on that.
And with the way that some of them use the language and images to say that you need/have to donate and not that you could donate if you have the spare cash monthly to help out.

Let me start this one off:

I cracked at this ad, then I start thinking about how dumb these people are, and how the company allows this kind of ads to ruin their reputation.
For me, the most annoying ads are those of political campaign. Like, leave me alone of your political rubbish scheme. I want to have some time to myself.

All Ronseal's ads stating "It does exactly what it says on the tin"



One of the most over-used expressions ever! Oh really, I'm staggered, the TIN SAYS IT'S QUICK DRYING FLOOR VARNISH. Well blow me down with a feather, that's what it does.

Have you seen how many Amazon reviews these days say 'it does what it says on the tin'. Really? That book you just reviewed was sold in a tin?!

Actually that ad is a classic example of stick with what works.

They have been using that same advertising slogan for nearly 20 years and it still works. (the fact that it gets quoted everywhere is evidence that it has done as intended and people remember it)
