To me its as simple and as easy as this:
Born in England and your English.
Born in Wales and your Welsh.
Outside the UK and your British
I find it rediculous that footballers although not born in a particular country qualify for playing for that country just because their mothers from the country. It simple doesnt make any sense to me. If your born in a particular country thats what nationality you are regardless of where your parents/granparents were born
