It was rather excellent, although was expecting to see some more of the older Daleks.
Series sneaked up on me, there was not much trailer-ing, not that I saw. Flicked across it this evening in passing & stuck the tape on for later.Originally Posted by Jonj1611

Agree there, things I'd read suggested that it was going to feature all of the different sorts of daleks, not just passing footage of some and just lots of the new series sorts.
Not wishing to offend but...Daleks....I mean, aren't you bored of them yet? Dr Who is great (as long as they keep a Billie or Karen in) but all that 'exterminate' lark is wearing a bit thin.
Daleks are the ultimate enemey ! Doctor Who would not be the same without the Daleks.
I really enjoyed it, but one thing really annoyed me:
Towards the beginning the Doctor is teasing the Daleks for being scared of going down to the Asylum themselves.
About fifteen minutes later:
Amy: "I'm scared"
Doctor: "Good, Scared isn't Dalek"

That stuck out for me, too, Steve. Other than that, thought it was a great start to the series. I completely missed it initially - it wasn't until someone mentioned it on my Facebook that I darted over to the iPlayer.
Oh BTW, if anyone wants to hear my usual gripe Im happy to share it in PM....

is it just me, or was that dalek with rory, when he was saying "do you want this egg thing", actually saying a recipe for souffle? eggs , stir, min eight minutes..
