    Paintballing

    September means only one thing:
    The Big Rhesus Paintballing extravagander.
I'm sure paintballing is close to many of your hearts in this forum, so I'm sure this thread will get many an olde war story...

What I'm after is a way to record the action....Camera shots or video....anyone got ANY ideas how to achieve this goal????? I don't fancy using my video phone, or digital video camera......

I have a VERY old analouge camera, but it's heavy as F***!

Come on Hexus Brains, I want to be able to replay me shooting some mo-fos in a hail of paint ridden justice! (Must stop watching the tick)

Have a look at this link http://www.sports-camera.com/ maybe mount a bullet camera to your marker for those extra special shots

I was looking at one of these for mounting on my bike but if you can figure a way to carry a digicam. maybe a belt pouch or small back pack yo coiuld get some interesting footage.

And yes I do have some paintballing war stories. All good fun for the kids innit?

I remember playing paintball. I got shot in the side of the head and saw funny colour for about an hour. It can be very painful but well worth it. At least you can tell when you've been shot compared to BB Wars.

Last time I went paintballing was at Greenham Common - Urban set-up using the hundreds of derelict mod barracks there, absolutely amazing time

Strict rules there were no moving of any of the debris in the houss, so a few n00bs from the opposing side thought it might be a great idea to completely barricade themselves into a ground floor flat using some old doors and planking - seemed a great idea until we threw a mixture of about 6 smoke and paint grenades in there

If you're referring to Ball Bearing, it'd be highly illegal/painful.

It's perfectly legal over here, i've done a few BB Wars before. You're even allowed to use gas blowback with brass BB's over here on other people.

    Interesting law system,
    Over here anything over
IIRC 30fps is classed as a firearm, BB or 92fs you'd get the same charge.

What protection do you wear with BB wars. And I'm still shocked it's legal.

Bazz, its perfectly legal in the UK, as long as it is not done in public.
I have BB wars in my garden and as long as you are older than 17 you are allowed to use a Ball Bearing gun.

There are also centers, like Paintballing centers but only with BB's and nice big M16s/AK 47s

Its commonly know as Airsoft in the UK for exactly that reason, its soft compared to painball

I believe that now you need a license. Or at least that law is coming in.
The BB guns I owned would probably kill you if you were shot with them.
Would goggles protect your eyes? I doubt it?

Anyone got some links or something, I find this whole thing

Are they plastic BBs or PROPER Ball bearings?

That's the same as over here.

Plastic BB's, i think Metal Ball Bearings are illegal in a game situation, none of the BB guns are illegal if used for target practice though.

Yeah, I'm sure a BB center would have to have a license, dunno about just home use, my BB guns are all sprung loaded and they have a max power of 0.7 jules, thats not much, no way as powerfull as a Paintball gun.

Goggles would protect you easily, I have a mesh mask which is better as it doesnt steam up, and it adds to the realism

Its also the law that a manufacturer is not allowed to produce a Ball Bearing gun that has a Maximum power of over 1 jule. I think an Airrifle is about 10 jules, not sure tho, but I know Paintball and Air Rifles are way more powerfull than BB guns

    http://www.planetairsoft.net/

Although it a canadian site, it gives you an idea of what is available in the Uk at the moment.

    Under 1 jules, pfffft

LOlL, I was imaging people firing BALL BEARINGS at each other....
    Googles shattering, people bleeding ETC.

How dumb do I feel now???

    :S

Softball doesn't sound as fun as paintball, and WAY more open to cheats, but I like the different gun types etc.....Anyone know of any near brum?
