Everytime I login, I get image cannot be displayed placeholders and I cannot EVEN send them from my phone, I have to login to their ever so crap website and do it from there.

Used their so called magic "Over The Air" configuration setup loads of times, support is flakey at the best of time with generic copy & paste answers to queries and half the stuff you ask in the emails is never answered.

oh Orange, please can I come back

I deal with network operators all the time, i've had test phones galore, and i won't be moving from Orange any time soon, the only problem with Orange is their technical front desk, its useless beyond belief. But the main reason for Orange's better signal structure is them using 1800mhz, transmitter stations rather than 900mhz, so in general they have 2* the amount of transmitters meaning they should have the same coverage as everyone else, but its much more likely that it will be a better signal strength.

Plus my house mate works for Orange too so if i really do need some help getting something sorted its superb

been with O2 for 2 years or so. The only complaint i have is their pretty naff coverage. Around where i live its fine, where i work (4 miles away) I cant get a signal. Head out towards Woburn, no signal. Head south about 8 miles, 15% signal

that aside though there support is good, and they're relatively cheap.

Avoid T-Mobile like the plague. Apart from following Intel's lead in annoying advert jingle sounds, they continued to charge me for 6 months after I'd instructed them twice by letter and phone to cancel my account. I just cancelled the direct debit and waited for them to ring me and ask where the munski was

O2 are a bag of pants...

dont ever use them... avoid at all costs.

    go orange or vodafone.

o2 have no support, they never answer emails.
phoen support is £1 a minute, and they make you hold for 10 minutes before answering, to get more cash out of their customers.
the website is useless and normally broken.
the send paper bills that have different values to what is stated on your online bill.

    basically they are useless.

You have to pay to talk to customer services on O2? It's free on Orange.

I once rang O2 customer services for a mate (from his phone) and they broke the data protection act and gave me some of his personal information!

Plus the service they gave was crap!

I'm with T-Mobile and haven't had any problems tbh. I'd avoid O2 and Vodafone though, might try Orange if T-Mobile give me reason to.

Like all services that can depend on local coverage.
Ever since day 1 it has always been worthwhile checking different networks respective coverage in the area that you want to use it most.
Yes, but to be honest, in urban areas and major cities, there really shouldn't be such a big gap. Its not just the local coverage, even when Im in a well covered area (by indication of the amont of bars "indicated" on the phone) it seems sometimes calls just aren't getting to me, and some dont even get to the answer phone (which is my real puff with 02, not receiving calls is one thing, ppl not being able to leave a msg is another).

And I miss Orange's free txt of letting you know who called you during the time you had your phone switched off in the cinema or something . . . that was real handy.

Guess beggars cant be choosers tho . . .

i was on voda but changed to orange when voda started changing tariffs during my contract. *rses. and orange seem to be raping me blind for cash no matter what I do or don't do. either way I'm hoping the new tachnology I read about recently comes in quick...

...very basically networks 'buy' specific frequencies to operate outside those of radio or tv on the spectrum. this new technology takes advantage of the 'empty space' available and piggy-backs onto it. well, if its not being used then why not take it. it operates in a sort of modulation where it doesn't always pick up the same freq. every time but takes whats going. now, the big corporations are bloody scared of this as it makes the freq.s they 'bought' pretty much worthless (two fingers to them if you ask me but anyway) and they don't want everyone to find out about it. funny thing is it costs peanuts to make your own phone using this technology and then you need never pay for subscription ever - seeing as you normally pay to use a network - the new way negates any sort of network and just connects over the top of it. nice.
it was in new scientist a few weeks back if anyone is at all interested...

Im with O2 (previously Genie-automatic switch over) the coverage is brilliant, plus I get 300 free texts each month (but I am pay as you go). They also do price matching in their shops.
There's a thin person in every fat person.....that's because they just ate them.

I'm with O2 and find their customer service cr@p. It takes about 20 minutes to get through to anybody and then half the time they dont know what their on about!!! I'm coming to the end of my contract now and am considering changing providers although I love my phone (3650) and dont want to change it yet
