    Near Fatal Accident!

Good Grief! Just sitting here minding my own business at work. I looked up accross the balcony accross from where I sit, just in time for me to see one of the hefty sun blinds plumet 6 stories from the roof into the reception foyer!!! Luckily the only thing it hit was a desk (Which was annihilated) and missed this poor girl by inches....

You will need to tell the Health and Safety Executive that you were a witness to this incident and your employer will probably be fined heavily.

Judging from the crowd round the balcony, there'll be no shortage of witnesses. But i agree.

Looks like the blind got jammed and pulled itself off - they are connected to sensors that close them when the sun shines through the glass roof. Some blokes just gone to disable the rest untill they can be inspected...

perhaps if the crowd all look up before venturing out across the foyer to assist stricken girl? sort of watching to check the cost is clear before getting sliced up themselves!

better still, take the blinds off the window where you are - go to somewhere far removed from the window lie on the floor with said blind and cry out in agony. that'll have the H&S people confused to hell

    Jokers!

The girl was ok, the foyer was PACKED with people though. Security soon sorted her out, she's gone home.

As for the blinds, well they've sealed off the entire foyer now and scaffolding is being brought in!!!
