Anyone else think its an annoying step backwards that google have buried image search

...image size options on separate page??

I hate it when companies drop the ball, such simple stuff to get right. Why do I have to click 5 times to narrow my search results to Large images when it was 1 click before??

Oh and here's the kicker, the image size controls are visible on mobile devices....so someone at google actually thought the smaller screen version of image search is the one that can fit that button in

Noticed this a week or two back, it sucks, Plus I no longer get the same results back as before even though my safe search is turned off. Started to use bing to find images.

Yes to both (image options and location). Deeply annoying, side menu options disappeared and didn't immediately twig, but when I did - blah.

I've just about run out of patience with google as a search engine, it's filled with click-bait spam sites disguised as "comparison" sites, then they started hiding the more useful options away in sub-menus. Blargh.

I've actually started using yahoo again..

You can't choose LARGE - MEDIUM - SMALL images like before.

It's still there for me... On the left when you search images you can choose large, medium, icon or exact size. Search only pages from UK (or some other country) is still there too on the left.

What's been really useful is the search by image function, search similar images, and search for different sizes of the same image! I think it has improved immensely in the last few years.

It appears that is now shown as a sub-menu of "The web" once you click "Search Tools".

I do have to agree that it seems to be a step back that they are now hiding these options in menus.

Theres nothing on the left for me :-/

EDIT: But have just noticed the "Search Tools" button at the top that has drop downs for these options, so its not as bad as I thought, but still 2 clicks that werent there before.

Thank you. That has been driving me mad. Come to think of it, I should have googled the issue

I can't see how hiding these options is a good idea

Alternatively, you can turn it back to how it was before with the Google Search Tools Back for those who use Greasemonkey (or similar).

This. IMHO most of the changes after (and including) instant have been negative - I can see another big name for search emerging if google aren't careful, possibly bing.

Re: Anyone else think its an annoying step backwards that google have buried image se

I have had two Internet Security packages recently and these both offer filtered results from search engines, I find the way that they don't allow me to set my default to google.co.uk to be more annoying than the changes that google have made.
