I bought a first class stamp today. It cost me 60p. That's 12 shillings in old money. I could have bought a pair of jeans and a T shirt for that in the olden days.

^ stockpiling at pre-rise prices ftw that way you save enough money for the pictures, and chips on the way home. Couldn't physically hand over 60p, me, after the way the PO thieved all my local sub postoffices off me. Not to mention the fact they deem half 2 in the afternoon any sort of time to bring your post.
