Apparently, someone asked a few days ago why I 'left'. I've since had it privately suggested to me that, since I hadn't commented on it and the thread was closed, that there must be "more to it" than was apparent. Well, there is ....... but it isn't what some of you seem to be thinking.
I 'left' for personal reasons, and because Moderators and Admins have a certain level of responsibility. Those personal reasons mean that I no longer felt I was able to contribute in the way expected of a Mod or Admin, and that I could no longer devote the time that it requires.
It's been suggested to me that there must have been a 'falling out'. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have had no disagreements (other than the odd run-of-the-mill difference of opinion over how something should be handled or done) with any of the Mod or Admin team. In fact, far from it - they've all been very supportive. There have been no issues of any sort along those lines, and anyone that thinks there are is jumping to false conclusions.
More than that I don't propose to say. After all, personal reasons are just that.
One more thing. I haven't left Hexus. I've just retired from the Moderating team. I'll still be around, but not having duties here means I can come and go as I please. If I don't feel inclined to log on for a day, a week or a month, I don't have to.
If a passing Mod carers to close this, feel free. I'm not inviting discussion or debate on why I left, and don't intend to say any more on it. All I want to do is put the record straight.
