    At first at the title I thought "Great, I can be a time lord and assassin now... oh it is for cloaking data..."

    The researchers were able to cloak nearly half the data put in the beam's path, which they would otherwise be able to detect.
    Useful for fiber connection only as it transmit light beam for communication.
