I remember what lured me in, THCi started sending me links over MSN to an epic questions and answers thread in the Automotive forum. I'm probably still carting around and regurgitating all the things I learned off Zak and Tumble in that thread as an errant teen! After that I was the resident Spam king here for some time, you couldn't get rid of me yet somehow I still made friends despite my spammy ways... I've drifted in and out since when life's got in the way but I always seem to find my way back and every time I do I'm surprised at how warm the welcome still is. Happy Birthday Hexus

Sadly we lost our posts and status in the Great Reset of (insert year and date here as I can't remember when!)

But as Knox said, I remember THCi as we were mates on anther board and he led me here as well.

10 years... I feel old! I think I was a member for quite a while before the hack / reset. Used to be a lot more active (and the whole forum used to be a lot more PC based back then too - lots of build and overclocking threads as well as the 'special' hexus stuff - PHD, etc)

Sad thing is, I remember the thread but I've probably deleted most of the information I had upstairs to fit new stuff in. I need a bigger HHDD (head-hard-disk-drive)...

July 23rd 2003 the entire forum was wiped, marking the start of a new era for HEXUS.

Prior to 2003 the community was still growing, David started up a new technology website. Now I personally don't know the ins and outs of how things started rolling but HEXUS came to fruition. The full story needs to be told by David of course

My personal story in all this was I was a moderator on an American site called Tweakers Asylum, named Grendel. The site was shrinking and dying off so I jumped ship and after a quick search found HEXUS, so I emailed one of the guys and told them about my mod experience and I joined here as a mod virtually immediately. I stuck with the name I previously used Grendel and used a yellow Calvin (Calvin & Hobbes fame) avatar.

The entire forum was wiped in 2003 on this very day and relaunched, my date is actually 24th as I had to email David to let him know I had changed my forum username to Ferral, I have always got to be awkward!

I have done bits and bobs round the site over the years, a few game reviews, a WHDI transmitter, yet to do the review of a Krypton gaming mouse and Aivia Keyboard and back in the day prior to 2003 I did post a bit of news for the front page.

I have seen mods and members come and go over the years and seen the site grow in a big way. To think we used to link to tech and game reviews on other sites in the news, now we have a team dedicated to reviews and editorials and it is all in house.

So I have to say Happy Birthday HEXUS, a big well done and congratulations to David and the team of web guys and editors. Not forgetting the team of Mods and Admins I work with in the community on a day to day basis

Cor blimey, some old screenies there. I came to Hexus via the old OcUK Counterstrike Clan, and well - been here ever since.

Amazing to think it's been over 10 years since being here, and 10 years since the nuke. Time flies.
