cpu 39, gpu's both at 40.
sat in BF3
got to love water cooling and big rads

3570k @ 4.5GHz under a DarkRock Pro 2 in a Fractal R3 case.
Real Temp shows CPU cores idling at 29-37C, at 100% I see about 67C
Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.

System idles at MB=34C CPU=39.5C can't seem to work out how to get GPU temps
After ragging the machine with crysis warhead at max for an hour temps rose to 53.5-54.5C CPU, MB up to 45C. Stayed at those temps, bar a few spikes to 55C CPU, after stopping the game the temps dropped off back to their idle states.
machine as described in my system spec. Not the best CPU in the world, but the custom cooler + fan selection means I never hear it. And that makes me happy.
Phenom 965 of at 3.8ghz cooled with coolermaster hyper 212 ego push pull config. Idle 36, gaming 45, room 26
Asus direct cu2 HD 7850 idle pretty much the same
Slightly cooler under gaming load.
Nice and toasty. Bit of throttling happening though. Maybe I should give the Intel stock cooler a bit of a clean, haven't opened my computer up in about 2 years lol
If the competition was "who has the hottest CPU" I think I would be winning
I'm using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus Cooler with two fans (Push/Pull) on my i5-2500k. My case is a Zalman Z11 Plus. It's quite cool today, especially considering the hot weather we've been having lately in the NE of England.
Out of curiosity, how much heat does a second GPU add. I'm thinking of using my old GTX 560ti as a PhysX card.
i5 3750k with corsair h80i. 47 degrees after a 10 hour gaming session :-P
55C and 58C. Main HD at 34C.
What can I do, it's an old PC built before 120mm tower heatsink became popular. It's not only hot, it's noisy too, compared to my last build (sold when I left London).
no sarcasm intended: build/buy a new machine?
The min you'd have to do is get a new case if it can't already handle 120mm case fans not much will make it quieter, water cooled or air. Then you're buying new case, case fans, CPU cooler too. Ballpark £100-£150min all in for that. £200 if you're choosey.
Then you'd have to take everything apart and reassemble it - which is the fiddly time-consuming bit. Wouldn't it be nicer to build a new machine, with your old one intact next to it ready for any googling you need if you need to troubleshoot the new machine? It will also allow you to download any drivers etc and easily swap your files across onto a CLEAN install on the new machine.
How old is your PSU? There comes a point when I'd want to think about replacing it before it gets too old and at risk of going "bang" along with everything connected to it. About 5 years for a decent brand IMO. (depending on how much you use your machine)
Don't have the specifics on me, but last night (which was ridiculously warm) I was running some benchmarks and doing some encodes. After about an hour of:
Handbrake
Heaven
FluidMark
CPU (3570k @ 4 ghz) Highest core was at 60, the rest were below that
7950 @ 950Mhz was at 45
460 (Physx) @ 750Mhz was at 40
System is all watercooled with a H220, GPU Blocks and an extra 120mm Rad in a small case (CoolerMaster N220)
I'm not really happy with the CPU temps (My CPU is de-lidded) So I'm thinking that this weekend I'm gonna replace the TIM on the CPU, I don't think I done it right the first time.
Is the thermal paste on the stock intel cpu coolers ok if not overclocking when the weather is hot?
Ok thanks! I don't think case cooling will be a problem.
