    TV Aerial

I've just brought my TV with me to Uni (yes I have a license) and using its own aerial the picture is god awful, has anyone here bought one of those booster thingies or a replacement aerial? Which one? Any good?

    Cheers!

I bought one from dixons for about £30, and though this ain't what you want to hear, I'm afraid that it was awful, really poor reception still, and this is on a hill not far from the centre of Bristol!

Probably better than its own aerial though, to be fair...

What I'd do is go and buy a small outdoor aerial (and a bit of cable + plug obv.) from B&Q and just plonk it on your top shelf. Won't cost much more than a tenner. Should be a big improvement.

if your not in halls then NTLs the only way to go, even tho it REALLY sucks a$$, the compression ntl use is shocking, loads of programmes are noticeable blocky, like a low bitrate divx encoding but its cheap and beats freeview
