OK..it really is DULL here today.
So I decided to try out a theory that Sair showed me.....the perfect cuppa in HARD WATER AREAS
Now throughout time, the perfect cuppa has been made like so...
Tea pot.....one tea spoon of tea leaves per person, plus one for the pot. ie 3 people drinking, use 4 spoons of tea leaves.
Then you boil water (only ever boil it once...never ever re boil) and pour it while boiling over the leaves.
Leave for 1 minute, then stir and leave to brew for 3 to 4 minutes.
Sorted.
HOWEVER....in hardwater areas, you get a film on the surface a miniscus of chalky deposits.
SO I have made 20 identical cups of tea, and have made 10 with boiling water straight on the tea, and 10 with milk put in first...and then boiling water poured over.
Without a doubt, having milk in first DOES STOP the film forming YEAHHH
It also takes twice as long to brew, cos its cooler cos of the milk, but its proof.
If you want a cuppa clear of scum, in hardwater areas, put the milk in first.
I thank you
