univercities that has MSc in CS- AI

hello. I am plan on doing my masters in england.my field is computer science.i am plan on doing AI- neural networks or machine learning as my core subject. Can anyone tell me what are the univercities that offer these subjects for masters in england?

Imperial collage or univercities in that level i can not afford. I was previously planned on doing MSc in manchester. But they not offer ML or NN. So if anyone who did these courses previously hope they help me

    http://search.ucas.com/ will list the institutes.

But tbh, not all offer the same, despite having the same title. It really depends on what you are wanting to study, they are big encompassing areas of research, and frankly a year is barely scratching the surface.

A year will just give you a taster, as TheAnimus says. York used to have a good group especially for ML and NLP, and used to have a Masters in the area, though I'm not sure they do any more. Your best bet there is probably a research MSc.

This is going to sound snide, but I'm going to point out that its spelt University. Obviously english isn't your first language, which I've no problem with, but you wouldn't want to get off on the wrong foot with admissions departments.

I can thoroughly recommend leeds as a great university. I did a masters there in Physics which I finished about 8 years ago and teh available topics are largely dependent on the particular research interests of the people running the course that year. I happened to get a good one.

Leeds computing does have an institute of Artificial Intelligence & biological systems though, so I suspect you might find a group to fit your interests.

Yes I did some postgraduate studies and research there which involved ML (Neural Networks in particular, though that was not the primary focus of the research).

A good while back now I did 4 years at Manchester in Computer science, and did courses in AI, NL, ML etc. etc.

I notice they do an MSc course currently in "Advanced Computer Science: Artificial Intelligence", so would expect that you can do the courses you want in the area you want.

    Good luck.

Yeah phil. Thanks for the info.i am also like to go for manchester uni. But one of my friend in ML class said they have only offered semantic web Base systems in AI Department at manchester.

I know Imperial is a prestigious University, but I was surprised that they might me (a lot) more expensive than others. I was curious by how much. For EU citizens the cost is quite similar (£9k vs £8,400), but for international it's £25k vs £18k. Wow.

http://www.findamasters.com/ is also good for finding which unis will do the course you want
You could also consider whether you want an MSc(Taught masters) or MRes(Masters by research)
