Anyone else hear a loud bang @ about 6-30 to 7 am this morning?
I was sleeping @ that time, but the noise was very loud indeed ( similar to the noise of someone jumping off a bunk bed onto a wooden floor.
I've heard that there was a sketchy news report about an explosion and a 5 mile cordon but no more information as yet.

I'm not going crazy after all.
It was a HUGE bang - so loud I nearly deposited the digested remains of last nights becks and curry night all over my duvet, I thought that some1 had crashed into the house or used TNT to remove one of the doors.
Weird how theirs no reports on the BBC website as yet, but I expect it will all come to light in the next few days as to what it was.

More reasonable than ball lightning or aliens. Plus I read about ball lightning being caused by seismic activity and there was none (earthlights).
