how on earth did you manage that? I can't see a way to get much beyond 160, as you seem to be hard limited to a maximum of 20 sweets per whack, and it takes several whacks to get up to full speed....

The way I did it was after the initial first 2 hits that get the pinata swinging, is to smack it as it comes down so the very tip of your bat will hit the right side blue point at the tip as well. Takes a bit of practice. Don't miss a swing and don't let it swing past as i think it loses slight momentum.

178 was my highest which I think was by luck, as other games in which I deemed I performed mechanically better only got me a score of 173 - 176.
