I saw Lou on the Rock 'n' Roll Animal tour. It was quite literally awesome. It was the first time I heard that famous intro by Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner and as an opener to a set I had expected to be a pretty laid-back Velvet Underground-style affair it was epic. The whole show was storming, and I remember it to this day.

Still, it wasn't a bad run, given his lifestyle.
