    nah....

the radiator loses the most heat.. it's the things job.

the pipes and stuff are minimal

having the fans on while it was warming up kinda contra's the arguement by not letting the boiler get to temp fast enough.... see?

either way.. ... my negativity cooled it down and that was a rubbish thing to do.

    sorry OP

Bugger the bills, I'm living with my parents.

I don't know how the fans impact the efficiency or energy consumption of the heating system but it's nice having a room that warms quickly and uniformly when the thermostat or timer kicks in.

Soon I'm going to build a quick and dirty Arduino based thermostat to switch on the fans when the radiator is at a defined temperature, although a horribly inefficient and inelegant approach it's going to have an LCD and some buttons!

But once it is up to temp, this could help cycle the air around the room faster rather than heat escaping through cold walls and windows. All theory still so who knows.
