    And so the fireworks start

For the past 1 1/2 hours all sorts of fireworks have been going off constantly in my street. It was the same last night up till 10pm.How can these people afford to buy all these fireworks every night.Only another 2 weeks of this till it's all over.Don't get me wrong I like fireworks.Just not all night every night..

Well isn't it under 18's not allowed with fireworks, and weren't fireworks for all ages banned from the streets?

Bonfire Night is like christmas here. Shops sell them all year round, and they gradually get louder and louder every week. After the 5th, everything goes dirt cheap so the townie kids buy more.

ach, they've been setting them off for weeks here. Personally i dont think they should be sold until 3 days before the 5th of november, but there's always going to be newsagents etc that will sell them under the counter, as long as they get their money. It's just totally pointless! 90% of the cheapo ones are just loud, they arent pretty. I dont like fireworks at all tho. Dangerous things! i wont even go outside on guy fawks night! i'd rather keep my limbs and eyes ta!

I personally don't think they should be sold at all. Too many chavs around with too little regard for other people and animals.

Spoils it for the rest of us as usual, but better the admission ticket to an official licensed display than a vampire rocket in the eye.

They should be sold for display only. Chavs, or anyone elsefor that matter, should not be able to buy them. IMO they should require a licence.
Not only are they annoying, at anytime,in a residential area, but there very dangerous if misused, and I assure you that more than plenty are.
